History:

Sundolier®, Inc. was established in 2004 as Sunflower Corporation in Boulder, Colorado.  Sundolier was invented by a group of experts in the fields of daylighting, mechanical systems design, electronics, and facilities energy mangement.  Sundolier holds multiple patents on its designs, and the unique features inherent in our systems make Sundolier a popular choice among architects, building managers, and building owners for bringing daylighting to novel spaces.

Confidence:

Sundolier systems are installed in the United States, Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Our core daylighting components have operated in commercial environments since 1998, and in temperatures ranging from -50ºF to 120ºF (-23ºC to 49ºC ).

Our active daylighting systems operate very well in sunny and hazy conditions. Our outdoor component, the Daylight Harvester, is designed to withstand wind, snow, hail, sleet, and rain with a light maintenance schedule. On sunny days, most installations are able to turn all electric lights off in the daylit space, with minimal impact on the building envelope and solar heat gain.
